If bunions occur early in life somewhere in the teen ages, then they are considered as an inherited disorder because there is strong evidence of a relation between genetics and bunions However, genetics still play a minor role in the causation of bunions Most bunions are caused by the use of thin toed and high heel shoes. Misinformation abounds regarding the formation of warts. Our hands and feet take a lot of abuse.

They can also create more pressure on the feet by restricting the blood vessels and causing tenderness around the toes. This condition can be avoided by wearing the right shoes that can make your feet comfortable. Sometimes, bunions can lead to hammertoe which is a deformity of the joint positioning in the toes. There are presence of dead skin cells in the affected feet and this can lead to the development of corns and calluses. The most common places that are affected on the feet are the toes and sole. Most of the old people experience a condition called tarsal tunnel syndrome that is associated with deformity on the ankle and the foot. This condition can affect the nerves present in the feet leading to numbness, pain and tingling sensation. Calluses and corns are also the common foot problems among all age groups.

Although corns and calluses are common problems, certain people can have significant issues associated with them. There is no scientific evidence that reflexology is an effective alternative to traditional medical treatments for any medical condition. Calluses are specific areas of skin that have become hardened and firm and are often the direct result of excessive pressure from small shoes, repetitive motion exercises and improper walking technique. A reflexologist views calluses as an imbalance, caused by the body to protect itself. Because each unique zone on your hands and feet is said to correlate to a different organ, a callus indicates toxicity and corrosion in that corresponding part of your body. Corns are a cone-shaped piece of hardened skin that often forms on the toe joints. In reflexology, a bunion often represents a malfunction with respect to the spleen.

Moleskin pads can help relieve a corn; calluses can be trimmed or surgically corrected. A form of arthritis, gout is characterized by sudden pain, redness, swelling, and stiffness, usually in the large joint of the big toe. Plantar warts are tough growths that develop on the soles of the feet. Plantar warts are harmless and can be left untreated, but in many cases they're too painful to ignore. A fungal infection that can cause peeling, redness, itching, burning, and sometimes blisters and sores, athlete's foot is mildly contagious, passed by direct contact or by walking barefoot in areas such as locker rooms, or near pools. The fungi then grow in shoes, especially tight ones without air circulation. Athlete's foot is usually treated with topical antifungal lotions or oral medications for more severe cases.

Bunions , corns, and calluses can be protected with non medicated felt pads or cloth tape, they can also be treated with an ice pack to ease the pain. The most important tip is to wear the right shoes that form well to your foot and cause no discomfort. Your local drug store carries creams and liquids specialized for treating or easing the pain of these ailments! Symptoms: The most common symptom associated with Restless Legs
is best followed up with supportive therapies to prevent a recurrence of your health problem. A bunion occurs when the big toe is angled inward toward the rest of the toes. Bunions are characterized by a large bump that protrudes out of the side of the foot. This bump is the joint of the big toe that is being pushed awkwardly out of position. While the exact cause of bunion formation is not completely understood, it seems to run in families.
